Will the costs be covered by my health insurance or other insurance?

Your health insurance company will cover the costs of the online doctor’s visit as long as there are free appointments available for people with statutory health insurance. Due to new legal requirements, doctors can only carry out a limited number of video consultations for people with statutory health insurance. If you decide to book a treatment as a self-payer with statutory health insurance, the costs for the treatment, the prescription and the medication will not be covered by your health insurance and are not reimbursable.

What do I need to bear in mind with electronic prescriptions or sick notes?

After providing telemedical treatment, doctors can issue electronic prescriptions (including health insurance prescriptions, private prescriptions, referral prescriptions) and sick certificates for work via TeleClinic in accordance with the applicable legal requirements and regulatory framework. These are legally valid and recognised by employers and pharmacies. Please note that a sick certificate can only be issued for a maximum of 3 days.

Where can I redeem my prescription?

Once the doctor has issued the electronic prescription for you, you can redeem it directly using the app. You can choose an online pharmacy to deliver to your home or visit a local pharmacy. Your prescription is, of course, available via the gematik e-prescription app or the electronic health card (eGK).

Is there a time limit for my consultation with the doctor?

No. The doctor will take as much time as necessary to answer all your questions.
